Villa Torre Del Cielo is a luxury villa with a fantastic panorama over the Valtiberina and Tuscan hills. Close to Monterchi, the villa hs a big swimming pool and a Jacuzzi beside the pool.

Torre del Cielo is the result of the care for detail for every aspect of modern hospitality the complete comfort of the guests. The name of this ancient 17th century building comes from its position, “Tower in the Sky”; from here one can admire a fantastic panorama over the Valtiberina and the Tuscan hills. Torre del Cielo was originally a lookout guard tower, built about the first half of the 1600 by Ferdinand II of the Medici, used by a small group of soldiers to guard against the arrival of the enemy. Its position is about 2,5 kms from Monterchi, the last piece of the land of the Granduke of Tuscany, close to the Papal State and world famous for its frescoes by Piero della Francesca the Madonna del Parto. In 1894 Francesco Rosadi (the year of construction is sculptered on the ground floor fireplace), the grandfather of the actual owner, extended the tower, giving it the form and the dimension that we can admire today.

The”villa” has recently been restored, maintaining all the characteristics of a typical Tuscan country house. The villa has a big swimming pool (depth 150 cm, 6×12 mts), for moments of refreshing relaxation in the summer season. The pool is surrounded by sunbeds, umbrellas and a gazebo for enjoying the summer in total privacy. It is surrounded by a large garden from which one can admire the view over the panoramic valley below, perhaps relaxing in the Jacuzzi beside the pool. Moving to a slightly lower garden level there is a delightful patio where there is “al fresco” dining table for 10 people.

The 2 hectar garden is looked after with great passion by the owners. There are olive trees, biological peach and plum trees, to which the guests are invited “to help themselves”. There are roses, lavanda and rosemary which fill the air with delightful, typical Tuscan perfumes, very difficult to forget. For sport lovers there is a small football field (for 5), a ping pong table and lovely long walks through the oak woods which surround the property, Torre del Cielo is the ideal location for an unforgettable holiday in the middle of the Tuscan countryside.
