Borgo Bernardini was once the hunting lodge of Count Cosimo Bernardini. Every aristocratic family in Lucca used to own a property in the countryside outside the city walls.
Surrounded by hills filled with wild boar, Borgo Bernardini was once the hunting lodge retre-at of Count Cosimo Bernardini of Lucca who would spend his weekends in the country. The Bernardini family played an instrumental role in the administration and politics of the Repu-blic of Lucca and were responsible for the upkeep of law (magistrates) and order from 1388 through to 1798. They continued to support the new political order with the invasion of Napoleon towards the end of the 18th century. At this time, Borgo was extended to become a small village for the workers of theestate which included an olive press, bakers and chapel.
Today the estate has been converted into a luxurious and exclusive Tuscan retreat in a small hamlet surrounded by a vast park decorated by fountains and water features, ancient trees, small squares and historic alleys. The Villa offers a private swimming pool (18m x 8m x 1,8 m)) and plenty of sun lounger where you can relax, enjoying the peacefulness of the Tuscan countryside. Near the swimming pool there is a fitness room with access to the garden and a pretty living room with wicker furniture and big glass windows overlooking the pool area, the ideal place to read a book or have a relaxing massage or a beauty treatment.
BBQ and a vast alfresco dining area with seating for 26 people are located in an antique courtyard of the estate with an impressive “Peschiera”: a majestic fishpond. The outdoor areas are superb, as well as the breathtaking interiors. Our staff can help guests with suggestions for making the most of their stay, ensuring an exclusive, highly personalized experience. We can organize cooking classes and wine/oil/ice-cream service. The Villa has been recently restored and equipped with all modern comforts, while at the same time preserving its tradition and history: beamed ceilings, terracotta floors, ornate fireplaces and big windows overlooking the surrounding hills and olive groves. Just 10 minutes from the ancient walled city of Lucca, this luxury and exclusive vacation rental can accommodate up to 24 people in 12 luxury bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. Some bedrooms can accomodate an extra bed. With an additional charge the villa can accomodate up to 26 people. Your reservation includes a personal chef (cost of groceries not included) and maid service 6 days per week.

place for families or a group of friends desiring to spend a relaxing and entertaining vacation. The Villa is furnished and equipped with all modern comforts and top service: air-conditioning, wifi, centralized music
system (inside and outside). In the property there is a free laundry room with washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing boarding. Dry cleaning and ironing service are available only on request, at extra charge.

Italian Continental breakfast= 15€ per person. The breakfast will be composed by: traditional food hand made by the chef, eggs and bacon, cold cuts, cheese, fresh fruits, fresh mozzarella, tomato, cereals, biscuits, jam, Nutella, peanut butter, fresh juices, yogurt water, soft drinks, coffee and we are always open to requests made by the guest.
Classic Menu= 45€ per person and composed by: starter, main course , dessert hands made by the chef, water soft drinks and 1 bottle of wine every 4 pax (this menu can be either fish or meat)
Deluxe Italian Menu=55€ per person and composed by: starter, first course, second course with side dish, dessert hand made by the chef, water soft drinks and 1 bottle of wine every 4 pax (this menu can be either fish or meat)
